Ms. Katie Arrington
Katie Arrington formerly served as the Acting Chief Information Officer for the Department of War. She acted as the principal advisor to the Secretary of War on matters related to information management, technology, cybersecurity, space systems, and essential satellite programs. She held the position of Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity at the Department, overseeing cyber strategies, international collaboration, and partnerships with industry. She spearheaded the creation of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Arrington is recognized as a key figure in national cybersecurity, supply chain assurance, and defense innovation.

The tracks
Advising:
For companies working on their CMMC implementations or just beginning their CMMC journey, the “Advising” track will have sessions that inform your decisions. This track will feature CMMC experts with advice on selecting a CMMC partner, first steps to take, determining/reducing your scope, determining cloud-based or on-prem CUI digital storage, and documentation advice.
Advising sessions are designed to provide valuable guidance and support to individuals working on their CMMC implementation without consulting on specific details of your environment, the SME will share how challenges have been addressed in similar scenarios.
These sessions will feature expert speakers and networking opportunities, allowing participants to gain insights and practical advice. Advising sessions aim to provide attendees with the tools they need to make informed decisions to get their CMMC implementation started on the right foot.
Assessment:
For companies already down the CMMC implementation path and getting close to selecting a C3PAO assessor or preparing for their assessment, the “Assessment” track will have sessions that inform your decisions. This track will feature C3PAO/Lead Assessors with advice on selecting a C3PAO assessor, preparing for your assessment, organizing your documentation and evidence, and lessons learned from completed assessments.
Assessing sessions are designed to provide valuable guidance and support to individuals closing in on their CMMC Level 2 Assessment without consulting on specific details of your environment, the SME will share how challenges have been addressed in similar scenarios.
These sessions will feature expert speakers and networking opportunities, allowing participants to gain insights and practical advice. Assessing sessions aim to provide attendees with the tools they need to prepare for their CMMC Level 2 Assessment and select their C3PAO.
